1. Tour Operations & Itinerary Changes

Galway Sightseeing Tour Company Ltd. reserves the right to deviate from the agreed itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. All tours are weather-dependent, and we cannot be held responsible for events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Road closures
  • Accidents
  • Closure of premises listed on the itinerary

We reserve the right to alter the direction of any tour route within our licensed operating regulations. Specifically, Connemara and Cong Tour and The Cliffs of Moher and The Burren Tour may operate in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction, at the discretion of management.

Galway Sightseeing Tour Company Ltd. is not responsible for the closure of third-party sites (e.g., visitor centres), nor for third-party arrangements, missed connections, or transport disruptions outside our control.

Please note:
All return times listed for tours are approximate and may be affected by road conditions, traffic, weather, or other unforeseen delays. Galway Sightseeing Tour Company Ltd. will not be held liable for any inconvenience, missed onward connections, or costs resulting from delayed return times.

2. Minimum Passenger Numbers

All tours are subject to minimum passenger numbers. Galway Sightseeing Tour Company Ltd. reserves the right to cancel a tour if minimum numbers are not met. In such cases, customers will be offered an alternative tour, reschedule, or full refund.

3. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay, change, or cancellation of service due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, civil unrest, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of tour departure:
    No refund possible.
  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance:
    Full refund minus €5 per person administration fee,
    or
    100% value issued as a gift card/voucher (valid for 12 months).
  • Booking changes (date or name) may be made once, at least 24 hours prior to departure, free of charge, subject to availability.

Important:
All cancellations and rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing via email. Phone calls are not accepted for cancellations or booking changes. The date and time the email is received will determine if it qualifies within the cancellation window.

No refunds or reschedules will be provided for:

  • Failure to join a tour
  • Joining after departure
  • Leaving before tour completion

Note: Any cancellation fees from travel agents or third-party providers are additional and beyond our control.

5. Changes to Bookings

In the event of booking alterations (e.g., name or date change), Galway Sightseeing Tour Company Ltd. and third-party tour partners reserve the right to apply applicable fees.

6. Passenger Conduct

The safety and comfort of all passengers and staff is our top priority.

Galway Sightseeing Tour Company Ltd. maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour toward our staff, drivers, guides, or fellow passengers. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Verbal or physical abuse
  • Intimidation or harassment
  • Disruptive conduct that endangers others or interferes with the operation of the tour

Anyone who fails to adhere to this policy may be refused boarding or removed from the tour without refund. In serious cases, local authorities may be contacted.

7. Luggage Policy

Each passenger is entitled to:

  • One medium-sized suitcase (max. 80 × 70 × 20 cm; 15 kg max), stored in the vehicle’s luggage compartment.
  • One small hand luggage item, to be stored safely under the seat or in an overhead rack. Hand luggage must not obstruct aisles, entrances, or exits.

Additional Items:

  • Additional luggage may be accepted only if space allows and may incur a fee.
  • Folding pushchairs and folded, bagged bicycles will be carried free of charge, subject to space.
  • Non-folding pushchairs, prams, and bicycles may be carried at a fee and only if space permits.
  • Wheelchair users have priority in designated spaces. One occupied pushchair may also be accommodated when the space is not required for a wheelchair.

All luggage must be:

  • Securely packed, locked, and clearly labelled with the passenger’s name and destination.
  • Fitted with a string tag for identification if placed in the luggage compartment.
  • Accompanied by valid identification if requested by staff.

All items are carried at the passenger’s own risk, regardless of whether staff assisted with loading.

Galway Sightseeing Tour Company Ltd., its employees, agents, or subcontractors shall not be liable for loss or damage to luggage or personal items unless such damage is proven to result from negligence or breach of duty.

In any case of proven liability, compensation is limited to:

  • €100 per claim
  • €50 for any individual item

Valuable items (e.g., electronics, passports, cash) should remain in hand luggage or on your person. The company will not accept claims for lost/damaged valuables placed in the luggage compartment.

Claims from or on behalf of third parties for lost property will not be accepted.

To make a claim, the loss must be:

  • Reported to the Garda Síochána immediately, and
  • Submitted in writing to Galway Sightseeing Tour Company within 24 hours, followed by a full written report within 5 days.

8. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all passengers obtain travel insurance to cover:

  • Cancellations
  • Personal belongings
  • Medical needs
  • Accidents or emergencies

9. Fitness & Accessibility

Passengers are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of participating in the selected tour. Some tours may involve walking, stairs, or uneven terrain. Please inform us in advance of any accessibility needs or mobility concerns.

10. Alcohol and Drug Policy

Consumption of alcohol or illegal substances is strictly prohibited on board any tour vehicle. Passengers found under the influence may be denied boarding or removed from the tour without refund.

11. Photography & Media Use

Photos and videos may be taken by staff for promotional use. By joining our tours, you consent to the use of your image unless you notify us in writing before the tour.
