In 2025, our wonderful passengers dropped over 2,300 reviews across Google and Tripadvisor. Our average score is 4.9* on Google and 4.8* on Tripadvisor – anything higher, and it would just be bragging! 😉
We could spend all day waxing lyrical about the dreamy scenery, rolling hills, lush green landscapes, towering cliffs and winding country lanes – not to mention the hardy beasts that roam them. But we’d rather you do the talking for once.
So, as we wrap up another unforgettable year here at Galway Tour Company, we want to celebrate you. You’ve kept us entertained and motivated to go out day after day, year after year, through good weather and shocking stuff.
There were common themes throughout the year from your reviews. We read every one, and welcome your feedback to improve our services.
- The “Star” Drivers: We love our drivers and we’re not alone! Seems like you all do too! Special mention for Derek, Tommy, and PJ. Not mere mortals, I’ll have you know, they have been affectionately described as “encyclopaedias of Ireland” and “natural comedians.”
- The “Anti-Script” Experience: A big plus for our guests last year was getting a “local’s perspective” rather than a pre-recorded or scripted tour. The storytelling and anecdotes were frequently cited as the reason for many of the 5-star ratings. Duly noted!
- Balanced Pacing: Despite these being long day tours, the overwhelming majority enjoyed the pacing of the tours. Our lovely reviewers “never felt rushed” at major stops like Kylemore Abbey or the Cliffs of Moher, which is a common complaint for other bus tours.
- The “Social Bus” Atmosphere: Many 2025 reviews mention the friendly atmosphere on the bus itself, with travellers noting they made friends with other passengers from around the world. Ah, you’re all a sound bunch in our book!
And just for fun, there were a few, how should we say, “Items of Interest” that appeared in some reviews
- The “Oh Feck” Incident: One funny review from December 2025 mentioned a wing mirror clipping a pole – the driver’s reaction (“Oh feck!”) and the subsequent “menopausal rage” of the passengers which made for a very human, memorable story that actually ended in a 5-star recommendation because the driver was “actually lovely.”
- Seasonal Shifts: Spring and Autumn reviews highlighted the Inagh Valley as a surprise favourite for photo stops, while Summer reviews focused heavily on the Aran Islands as a “bucket-list” cultural experience.
- Animal Encounters: Many 2025 reviews called out specific stops to see Connemara ponies and sheep, which guests found to be a quintessential Irish experience.
So there you have it. A busy and successful year delivering tours to 1’000s of guests to this magical stretch of land we call home.
Roll on 2026 and creating new memories!
