Recharge Your Batteries With A Trip To Inis Mór

Let Galway Tour Company look after the transport so you can sit back relax and get ready to explore. This is a convenient shuttle bus service running from Galway City to Rossaveal pier where you then board the ferry to Inis Mór. The day is yours to make of it what you will, you can expect to see some windswept island scenery, beautiful sandy beaches and get lots of fresh air. If you dont have time to pre-plan your day on the Island, there is a tourist office to grab a map and see what there is to do.

The Aran Islands are made up of three islands, Inis Mór, Inis Meáin and Inis Oírr (Inisheer). The islands are situated just of the coast of Galway Bay. The largest island is Inis Mór, while Inish Oírr is the smallest. All three Islands provide a glimpse into the traditional Irish living of our ancestors. The islands are still lived on with residents being traditional Irish speakers. You will find authentic Irish cottages, both lived in and some ruins along many small windy roads that are outlined with dry stone walls, unique to Ireland.

The islands distinctive charm makes them a perfect escape from the modern world. If you are looking for a place to be at one with nature, be inspired, find peace or simply recharge your batteries, look no further. A healthy dose of fresh air atop of an island can be the perfect tonic.

Whether you wish to bask on sandy beaches, sailboard, or just walk or cycle around the quiet winding byways, the Aran Islands have it all.

This day tour takes you to Inis Mór which is by far the most popular island. With a population of approx. 1,000 people spread among 14 villages, it is well served by mini-bus tours, hostels, hotels & restaurants.
